. For The Birds at Delaware Art Museum's Biennial 2000 . It is project that links three spaces, an area outside the Museum's grounds, the space of the Mueum's galleries, and cyber space. Birds at a feeder located on the grounds of the Museum(above) are observable from a viewing station in the gallery. When the computer senses a presence at either location, it takes a digital picture. Birds are matched at the computer station with the person who visted the gallery at the time closest to when the bird visited the feeder. The picture of the bird captures it eating seed. The picture of the person captures them trying to observe a bird. This chance connection of a particular person with a particular bird adresses our connections to the natural world by means of technology.
